B.Tech Agro Entreprise Development

Requirements for the programme:

A.      Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSSCE)

Credit Passes (A-D) in six (6) subjects comprising three core subjects, including English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science, plus any three (3) relevant science elective subjects including but not limited o: Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Elective Mathematics, Economics, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Geography and General Agriculture etc. 

B.      West African Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE)

Credit Passes (A1-C6) in six (6) subjects comprising three core subjects, including English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science, plus any three (3) relevant science elective subjects including but not limited to Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Elective Mathematics, Economics, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Geography, General Agriculture and Business-related subjects, etc. 

C.      Technician Part II and III Applicants

Certificate holders with Four SSSCE/WASSCE credits including English Language and Mathematics. Applicants shall be admitted into the first year of the programme.

D.      Technical Institute Applicants (Certificate II)

Credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, and Integrated Science plus credit passes in any three (3) relevant trade courses. Applicants shall be admitted into the first year of the programme.

E.      Certificate Applicants

Certificate holders from General Agricultural Colleges & Teacher Training Colleges shall be admitted into the first year of the programme.

F.      G. C. E Applicants

1.         Five (5) G. C. E. ‘O’ Level credit passes including English Language and Mathematics, and a Science subject, or its equivalent; plus, two G. C. E ‘A-Level passes in relevant subjects plus a pass in General Paper or its equivalent.

2.         Applicants shall be admitted into the second (2nd) year of the programme.

G.     HND Applicants

1.         Holders of HND in a related field of study (Agriculture, Agribusiness, Agricultural Economics, Agropreneurship, Agro Enterprise Development etc.) with a minimum of Second Class (Lower Division) or Competent (with regards to CBT HND in Agricultural Engineering) shall be admitted into the 3rd year of the programme.

2.         Any other equivalent qualification of the HND may be similarly considered.

3.         HND holders with a PASS shall be admitted into the second (2nd ) year of the programme.

H.      Diploma Applicants

1.         General Agriculture Diploma holders from Agricultural Colleges and analogous diploma programs.

2.         Applicants shall be admitted into the third year of the programme.
