B.Tech. Computer Science

Requirements for the programme:

A.      Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSSCE)

Six passes (A-D) in all subjects including English Language, Integrated Science and Mathematics and at least three (3) the passes in any elective subjects including Elective Mathematics and Physics/Electronics/Applied Electricity.

B.      West African Senior Secondary School Certificate (WASSCE)

Six passes (A1-C6) in all subjects including English Language, Integrated Science and Mathematics and must possess a minimum of C6 in any three (3) elective subjects including Elective Mathematics and Physics/Electronics/Applied Electricity.

C.      Certificates from Technical Institutions

Technician Part II or III certificate holders. Certificate II holders (must obtain credit passes in English             Language, Mathematics, Integrated Science plus any three (3) relevant trade courses).

D.      Higher National Diploma

Applicants must have graduated with at least 2nd Class Lower division in HND Computer Science and          HND Electrical/Electronic Engineering

  1. Professional and Other Entry Qualifications

Professional certificates and any other qualifications beyond the ones specified above shall be referred to the National Accreditation Board for the establishment of their equivalences, to determine their eligibility for admission to the University.

F.      International Applicants

1.       All foreign qualifications shall be referred to the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) for determination of equivalences and eligibility for admission to the institution.

2.       Applicants with WAEC qualifications can apply directly to the University.

 

3.       Evidence of proficiency in English Language will be required in the case of applicants from non -English speaking countries.  International applicants are also requested to acquire Non-Citizens Ecowas card as a pre-requisite for regularization of admission. International applicants who fail to provide evidence of having acquired this card will not have their admissions regularized.
