B.Tech Hospitality Management

Requirements for the programme:

.A.      Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE)

Grade A – D in three (3) Core Subjects (English Language, Mathematics, Integrated Science, or Social Studies) and three (3) relevant elective subjects.

B.      West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE)

Grade A1 – C6 in three (3) core subjects (English Language, Mathematics), Integrated Science, or Social Studies) and three (3) relevant elective subjects.

C.      TECHNICAL/VOCATIONAL APPLICANT

Applicants with Certificate II in catering with credit passes in English, Mathematics, Integrated Science, or Social Studies plus credit passes in three of the electives.

D.      General Business Certificate Examination (GCBE)

Credit Passes (A-D) in five (5) subjects comprising three core subjects including English Language and Mathematics plus any three (3) elective subjects

E.      General Certificate of Education (GCE) Advanced Level

Passes in three (3) subjects (at least, one of the passes should be Grade D or better). Also, the applicant must have had credit passes (Grade 6) in five GCE Ordinary Level subjects including English language, Mathematics and Science subjects (from non-science students) and Arts susubjectsor science students.

F.      Advance Business Certificate Examination (ABCE)

Passes in three (3) subjects (at least, one of the passes should be Grade D or better). Also, the applicant must have had credit passes in five subjects including (English Language, Mathematics Integrated Science, or Social Studies in the General Business Certificate Examination (GBCE).

G.     International Applicants

1.         All foreign qualifications shall be referred to the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) for determination of equivalences and eligibility for admission to the institution.

2.         Applicants with WAEC qualifications can apply directly to the University.

3.         Evidence of proficiency in the English Language will be required in the case of applicants from non -English speaking countries.  International applicants are also requested to acquire Non-Citizens Ecowascard as a pre-requisite for regularization of admission. International applicants who fail to provide evidence of having acquired this card will not have their admissions regularized.
